A few months ago, I participated in an activity "promote signatur" that can exposure your company frequently. It's fresh to me and I think it's a good manner to promote my company, so I reply actively on the forum for earning the MVPs. After three weeks later, I felt so terrible that my posting for MVPs, I'm boring that I earned the two points for each posting and consumed 100MVPs per week. That required me should post fifty times' reply at least. It made me feel so tired. So I decided to cancel that faction finally.
Now I feel so relaxed for myself. Everyone, if you have the same feeling, please share your experience and opinion.

Good Luck!

Why focus your time on forums when you have other alternatives to promote your company? Although participating here can gain a little bit of exposures but it doesnt mean you have to spend your time on posting and answering those topics. You have the advantage to search the buyers in your field of products because you are paid members.

I post so often that I might accumulate 100 points per week, but I don't know because I don't care. I post because I want to, when I want to, because I like the subject, because I feel like I can contribute something useful,... but for the points? I would never do that!

Like somebody said, if you look at the time and attention invested, posting for those 100 points to have your signature showing up under your posts is most likely pretty inefficient. It's probably much better to search the buy/sell leads - on Alibaba and other B2Bs.

Promotion here is not the only way for you.
People come to here for communication,If they wanna find suppliers, they would prefer the reliable supplier like paid members.
Posting your company info.here doesnot mean you can get confirm order Believe more buyer perfer go to products page or tread lead to find the right suppliers.
Just my point. So i donot care it.
I just reply what i want.

I don't know about other members, but as for me, posting and replying here is a way to share with and learn from others. And I'd only reply those postings when I feel like saying or adding something, earning MVPs is just incidental. It's never really the reason (otherwise for that matter one may just reply with a couple of words, and there you are you now earn 2 points!) and it shouldn't be.

I have a confession to make here - I never really paid much attention to either "Gold Members", "Trust Pass" or whatever. And I dont actually look at all those banners, so there might be many more members like me? But I do pay attention to what members say or share in this forum, because "I live to learn, and I learn to live".

Cheers! [em10]
