Well after 1 year on Alibaba I got my first sale. Not that big but at least it's a foot in the door to the US. Just thought I share that with you guys that are having doubts about business on this site.
Just remember NEVER GIVE UP.

I think you are right that success takes time, I faced this myself. I'd started work about 3 years till now and never gave up any time I face a problem. To be completely honest, I may hesitate a litte but soon I get my balance again and think how to succed again.
Finally I feel I'm about to reach my first success after I succeded in reacing a good deal with a new supplier for my company and hope this deal goes on successfuly to taste the real meaning of success.
But believe me keeping that success is more imprtant and harder.
So, don't give up and I won't as well.

There are no easy answers and no short cuts to real issues, and it

There are many factors to consider in planning a successful Deal.
The most importants ones being one'e knowledge and feel of the Market in which one wants to operate in, then its the Product or Commodity that is envolved. Thus one must have an extensive know-
-how of the Market one operates in, as there are quite a few facets to learn, examine, practice and then hopefully transact. However you must remember that you first have to study, and get to truely know the Product/Commodity that you want to deal in . A good broker is the one who know his/her's Product/Commodity inside out, both on the internal and International Market. If " One learns one's Trade "
so to speak, then one can become innovative, inventive and always
looking for the alternative road/approach to successfully sell. Prior to this " Market & Product/Commodity learning" one has to truelly grasp the concept of give & take of Trading. The evaluation of one's
Business Partner (client/buyer/seller), their strenghts and weekness
Thus an ability to grasp that moment in time, to know when the moment has arrived and your approach is right .
Infact one could easily almost write an indepth article on this issue of persistence, which plays a most important role in any persons chances of success. Its the time factor, or rather the length of time required for one to be aquainted with the concept of persistence.
I have touched very briefly one the very two pillars and must factors of Trading. If one has the luxury of time on one'e side, then this topic could be explained in the truthful depth that it deserves, however, even the very few lines I have written above displayes the real factor and asset of having the time to spend required time to get started in Trading, nevermind International Trading. A very different and very dependant on a countries cultural, historical and traditional ideals & customs intheir approach to Trading.Therfore one can see a diverse and, suffisticated emergence of historical & traditional values playing a most influencial role on the International commercial arena of the modern high Tech " International Village " atmosphere of the 21st Century.
Thus even Alibaba.com, despite creating a very usefull and handy commercial/trading atmosphere for all its members is also affected and held back by the above mentioned concepts and diversifications.
Therefore my fellowAlibaba.com members, do not get impatient and wait for your right moment to arrive.

Good luck! I made two deals and find three customers on the alibaba,it is really hard when u find customer,but your hard work will pay off soon.Just try and never forget you are salesman.
