I like this place, I like to go there but the bombing incedent happened a few years ago still haunt me so I would rather stay out.
One thing you have to know, the Malays believe that this is a place suitable married couple, if you are married and you have a vacation there then the bond between both of you will be better, but if you have not married the Malays suggest that you don't go there together. They believe after the trip both of you will just break off.

Don't avoid Bali just because it got bombed (twice).
The Balinese people are some of the friendliest in the world, and depend(ed) a lot on tourism. Many people, including friends of mine in Hong Kong, died in those bombs, however don't let the terrorists win. The lives that went will never come back, however we can help the people of Bali by returning and spending the tourist $! You will not only be helping the Bali people, but will have an incredible holiday. Of course, safety on the island is much improved now, because the authorties know that the economy and people could not handle a third attack.
Wow, really? a little sorry about this. I have heard Bali is an beautiful inland, and it attracts many tourist there yearly.

Indonesia is a great holiday destination. Lots of things to do and see. Inspite of * attacks, bombings etc I think Indonesia will continue to receive millions of visitors in the years to come. Bali (incidentally not one of my favourite destination in Indonesia after just one visit) is of course still suffering from those irresponsible * attacks, but in time people will forget all these, and continue to enjoy their stay there. There are many other places tourists should visit in Indonesia, it's such a vast country to discover. It's about time foreigners start discovering Indonesia other than Bali.
