I agree with you when you say to new user should stop been lazy and carry out the own due diligence - however even if you carry out due diligence and have additional verification reports done at the end of the day your checks may come back positive but once the company get your money you are at a loss as you have no power over them.

I have bought goods from a company which passed all my checks and other checks performed by reps but still once they got my money after some time I found out the my goods where mostly not to come.

Initially I invested in a sample order worth 1/5 of the real value and this came through but on my later order none of it was sent and to do this day I have nothing.

What I am saying is it easy to get a trust pass and gold membership and it cost even less to setup a official registered company. Once you got this the scammers company will mostly pass all due diligence.

How much does it cost to get a gold and trust membership?

Will alibaba aid in recovering the money? Do they compensate? I think the answer will not be in my favor!!

Replying to [ihatescammers]: Alibaba is not liable for anything illegal that happens on its site between parties due to its terms and conditions we all agree to when joining as a free or paid member. You are on your own when it comes to getting your $ back from any bad deal which by the way is practically nil in recovering.

Ive said it once and I will say it again. There are people on this site that need to get an understanding of Import and Export procedures and a grounding in International Trade. But it just seems to fall on deaf ears, and the list of idiots continues to grow and grow.

Do like I do and just ignore them, you never know they could be scammers looking for information to further conceal their identity, or just plain fruitcakes hoping to make a million bucks by selling 1 or 2 Sony Playstations. Either way this site has no credibility.

I agree that some of the posted enquiries are rather incredulous,to put it mildly, and you have to question the legitimacy and acumen of these "businessmen/women".

But,and not to be dismissive of the many fraudulent companies that obviously exist,Alibaba,as a sourcing tool, has proved an invaluable platform for countless business transactions.

Now this one
What about if alibaba is notified two times about a false listing (SCAM)
Alibaba confirmed.
Alibaba did not remove the listing
And.... 6 months later someone got ripped-of for $36.000 from the same listing.
Who is responsible? only the two parties or can we point also to Alibaba?
