If you go back and read my post again, you will see that I'm not saying to not ask the question, I'm saying to do some research and ask a specific question.

Too many members of these forums are waiting for someone else to do the work for them.

These forums are great for asking questions, that's why they are here, so that we can help eachother out. The problem is that too many people come here and expect to have the more knowlegeable members run their business for them. It is very simple to run a search of the forums and find the information that you need because most likely someone else has already asked the question. It just takes a little effort on their part, not too much to ask considering they are in a business that is research intesive at best.

Replying to [Cali Rugger]:Cali, Good posting. DD is something that should be in ANYBODY's list of "things to do" when starting a company or finding new suppliers/ leads

It is YOUR responsibility to do it people. When you have gone as far as you can go, asking for help in here is fine... for a specific question.

Lets keep the blanket questions to a minimum and be specific in what help you need with DD.

It is clear that everyone needs to do their homework. It is also true that learning that there is a freight forwarder in lets say Guam is not the same as learning if they are any good.

I don't understand why people ask to help them with a right supplier? How can the trust the ADVISOR, whom they do not know?? It can be the Scammer himself who suggests his company through another ID....
People pls don't get fooled. It is your hard earned money. I myself am 'Once Bitten, Twice Shy"
Happy New Year to all!

Replying to [Cali Rugger]:Ok, I'm trying to do my homework, how do I find a list of people that do due diligence for pay? I'm not asking for free work and I am willing to pay to get the best information.
Thanks

I would personally start by searching the internet

Here is the address for the Google results page for ""due diligence" companies".
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22due+diligence%22+companies&btnG=Google+Search

The third listing from the top "due diligence-kessler investigations" is a company that completes due diligence investigations.

I would also suggest doing the same search on other search engines like lycos.com, ask.com, and yahoo.com. also try searching for "due diligence", "company research", "business due diligence", etc.

I hope this helps. Good luck, and if you find a good company to hire for due diligence please post a link to their website in the forums. This could be very helpfull to other members as well.

Replying to [Cali Rugger]: Curious if you know anything about the company you just suggested for due dilligence. Unless of course your assuming he has a multi million dollar company and he can afford over 3500.00 for each company he wants research on. HMMMMMMMMMMMM.
