Okay Leini ... time to get off the sheep's back and read all the forums around here ...

you need every tiny bit of each forum to answer the mountain size question you just asked ... like I mean mountain size ... have another gander at your question mate.

Hey, aren't you the guy who just told Cali to go jump for suggesting that people do a bit of research ... here ...

Now Leini don't get me wrong, you are real welcome around here and you NZ guys are some of the best workers I know so you've got it somewhere in you to knuckle down and learn. Good luck [em1]

Replying to [Gneato]: The right proceduer will be based on what type of shipping you want. i'd advise you visit the site:http://www.export911.com/e911/export/comTerm.htm
this will give you a guideline of what to expect.
I hope this helps

Replying to [Gneato]:when you have gone through the incoterms then you can follow these procedures.
1.Raise a letter of intent(LOI) or ICPO( irrevocable coporate purchase order)stating your interest in the product
2.you will receive a soft offer Letter(SOL) which preceeds a Full coperate offer (FCO).
3. Then you raise a confirmed bank comfort letter(BCL)
4. Then the POP( proof of product) comes from the seller
5. After these will come the signing of the agreement by the two parties.
6. A letter of credit(LC {transferable or non}) is then raised. If a performance bond is involved then it comes next so as to activate the LC.
7.Shipment commences
Make sure its a reputable company you are dealing with as these procedures cost money.
