Well they need each other for their economic success. Although there is a kind of subtle tension hidden behind the smiles mainly due to the issue with Taiwan I would suspect.
They definately do not trust eachother thats for sure. So I would conclude it by saying they are partners and rivals at the same time.

Replying to [honeymoon]:Well, as mentioned with many of my post. To be honest. Thier could be better relations with USA and China if China was to stand behind the products they sell. There are too many occasions when situations arise (items held in customs, poor quality products, etc.) after payment is made that many companies in China does not offer remorse for. Many China businesses seldom offer refunds/returns nor do they offer any assistance with customs issues even after they say they will before you pay. This makes it hard to trust and trust is a foundation to a strong partnership. When that is gone then everything crumbles.

Replying to [Peace Abbas]:Peace,
Trust me........ it isn't the responsibility of the USA to "save the world" as you put it...... We have enough to worry about without having to take on THAT role thanks!
You guys figure some of it out for yourselves, we seriously have enough trouble of our own for the next decade or so.... How about India and Pakistan look after the rest of the world for 50 years and see how much fun it is!
