Yes, competition may be more furioius nowadays. It is an unavoidable trend, ever since China adopts the open policy, which is followed by some other countries like Vietnam. There are so many people freed up now to manufacture things.

Maybe the Earth is not flat, but the effects of globalization are hitting on everyone of us.

Life is hard always. Ours may not be harder than those of our parents. Afterall, we have more chances to pursue our dreams, with setbacks all over the path before we could get there. We don't need to face the pistols, machine guns, and bombs. We don't need to taste the soreness of famine.

harder? It depends on your expected life standard.
If the life is worse then before, then you'd better have something changed.

People's desire is infinity.Once they get good life, they wanna have better life, and better life. Then they need earn much more money to meet their needs. So tired for that.

At present, the life expense is up.but the salary doesnot change. Then wanna have earn more money? continue to learn more skills for better job or business.

If you can not change the environment, then you need change yourself.

We are living in very peaceful life, no war, no king, equal and happy life..I think we shall really feel thankful for everything we have now...
there is no generation as happy as us in China...

Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right forget about the ones who don't
and believe that everything happens for a reason
If you get the chance, take it!
If it changes your life , let it!

Life is not necessarily harder nowadays than it was during our ancestors' times. What change is our own expectations, wants and needs. I have friends who survive on $50 a month, while some can't live on $5,000 a month. And they all breathe the same air within the same community.

It is us ourselves, and our own expectations (and truthfully those of our families, friends, colleagues, acquaintances and neighbours) that are harder to manage.

Cheers!
