I want to import merchandise from China.

Is there a copy that handles all the leagl isseus associtaed with that or who (what govt. agency) do I need to contact?

Replying to [ trthskr9]:what you could do is just to find some factories and get some quotations of your items you want from them. if you dont trust the factory,bcz many people here said that they were scrammed. then find some big factories or some big trading companies.. one point, trust your business partner..

There is no such thing as "one-stop-shop" document for a newbie importer.

If starting with a knowledge base of zero, you typically need to spend at least one month of full time study ... go through all the Alibaba forums ... and also hit the links to external sites.

After about 200 hours of study you will start to get the picture. There is no short cut.
