US Branded Garments in China/HK

Would anyone happen to know if it is possible or indeed cheaper to buy US branded apparel or garments produced in China from China or HK.
I am most interested in Banana Republic wears!

As far as I know, there are a lot of American brands were manufactured in China, but Most of the brand were under the control of the Sales Group who own these brands. the manufacturer has no right to sell these product to other customer. only few of the samples or unqualified products might have the possiblity to be sold to other people, but most likely, it has been taken advantage by someone who has good relationship with these manufactuerers.
About banana repulic, I don't know which manufacturer is working with the owner, but there are many factories working on fake ones.
still we can find CK, AF, D&G, etc. Obviously, all of them are fake.
