Hello,
I will agree, we are people around the world and for most of us English is a second language. I have emigrated in Canada 6 years ago, I am Canadian but my first language is Bulgarian. I work very hard to learn English, but I have to work too and I have spend 1 year at Scholl. I have learn English mostly from books and TV. My speaking and listening is good, but grammar and spelling are poor.I use Spell Check to write. Until now I did not dare to communicate whit people writing. I am an educated person, but I could not show it in my letters.
A month ago I met a guy chatting in business forum. He encourage me to introduce myself and i did. So this was how some one welcome me
"mmm well if your 'Canadian' would many people risk their money with someone who can not spell even basic words. Seems a little suspect to me but hey I could be proved wrong....".
Well the life will be easy if we can detect bad guys by their bad English, but they have all sources to look perfect.
I am a good professional, honest and hardworking. Once you become my client it is for long time. But it is hard to get clients if they thing you are a bad person, because of your English.
I am not here to cry, I know people are different, and
you can't expect every one to like you.
I just want to tell you, don't miss your chance to work whit someone just because you don't like his English. He may be the person you are looking for.
Good luck
Sylvia
