The mobile phone markets are governed by the 'big-boys' !
Post 1 of 20
I have a large account with Nokia and have sold Nokia phones for two years now.
There is however an unrealisitc view within the market that you can get these phones cheap within the trade. On the majority of phones I am lucky to make 15 GBP per handset. Saying that though, this is genuine stock.
I think that the market is swapped with replica phones, and promises of top branded phones at very low prices. It just doesn't happen.
The mobile phone markets are governed by the 'big-boys' and small fish just do not have the purchasing power to make massive profits.
I must have had 10,000 enquiries through Alibaba for mobile phones. I have only ever done one deal. All my business is done on the High Street. Re-sellers just cannot afford the genuine brand.
Thanks, Chris.

There are many cases where similarly, big businesses are able to profit from high margins due to volume. My advice is that you look at putting together a conglomerate. Maybe several small business world wide, that do work on high volumes sales (such as 100 pcs / month).
Try and communicate with them as a team, and make them understand that you are not a middle man, but a conglomerate now, trying to provide them all with a DECREASE in the price they would regularly recieve from Nokia directly.
Conglomerate fees should be 0.50 pence to a pound / pc. (decreasing if the order is more than 199 pcs).
All you have to do is set up the group to include 20 businesses that order 100 pcs / month. And you're looking at 1000 pound or more. And decreased prices for youself.
Just an idea, and if you are going to do it, let me know.
