Replying to [RookieTrader]:Discharging rate is in concordance with discharging capacity of the port to unload goods from the vessel.
Example:
Ho Chi Minh port

DISCHARGING RATE: 2000 mt Per Weather-permitting working Days. Sundays and holidays included (PWWD SHINC on an 8 hours shift basis)

When assess the ocen freight, loading and discharging(or called unloading) rates, we have 4 methods:

- Berth or Liner Terms
loading and discharging expenses will be for ship owner's account, and usually apply from the end of ship's tackle in port of loading to the end of ship's tackle in port of discharge.

- Free In (F.I.)
Cost of loading a vessel is borne by the charterer.

- Free Out (F.O.)
Cost of discharging is borne by the charterer.

- Free In and Out (F.I.O.)
Cost of loading and discharging(unloading) a vessel is borne by the charterer.
