Best brand for laptop

In my opinion Compaq laptops would probably be classified as the worst. and Toshiba / Dell being at the higher end. The toshiba tecra m2v I just recieved from a friend was very abused...but still running like new. I also still have a newer truebrite screen toshiba (forget the model), and it has been running great for about 2 years now with no problems at all. As for the dell inspiron 1100 I just recieved today, I am very mad that it has some different style power plug because usually I just used older power supply's I had laying around to test laptops. I have had one problem with dell, when the screen just stopped working one day but it did boot up. SO MORAL OF THE STORY: NEVER NEVER NEVER BUY CELERON PROCESSOR unless you plan on selling to computer illiterate people. Celeron performance is horrible, and also In my opinion stick to Toshiba brand. best way is to check out review on what ever laptop you are buying.

It has been very stable.
Mine has now travelled over 30 hours in helicopter which I feared due to vibrations - no problem.
My only complaints should be the touchpad and the battery capacity, but I guess that is a general problem.
Advice: don't go for less than 512Mb RAM
Instead of touchpad I use a small very small IBM mouse. I never had pain in my handwrist since.
It has been very stable.
