Why more Trader in Export than Manufacturer?
Post 1 of 8
Dear Friends

It appears that in Export business unlike local you find more traders that manufacturer itself.

Does it mean that export procedures are still more complex that manufacturer is not able to concentrate on the production if get involved into it.

Or it means that trader is able to through our a manufacturer by his marketing skills.

Thanking you.

You're wrong. The issue is the traders are much more active online than the manufacturers.

There are countless manufacturers in China covering all the sectors. However, most of them are not good at advertising themselves online yet.

Managing a factory if you are new cost you a fortune if a single thing goes bad, but if you are trading company you don't loose anything.. you have to just find the right factory for right product and earn money as comission.

Replying to [Madhur_Agarwal]: Mr. Agarwal, I think it is more of a competency issue. Both traders and manufacturers are complement to each other. Trader's competency lies in finding out new markets, pushing sales and offering a wide variety to the customers. While manufacturers focus more on making a product better. The core competencies are different, thats it. Overall this results in a better product at a competitive prce for the end user.
There is nothing like trading business is better than manufacturing or vice versa. One cannot survive without another.
