Chinese people always exchange gifts as token of appreciation and friendship.

I had a conference in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur for the Security and Safety. There was a Police Officer from Beijing, and he brought many sets of the black and white cats rotating discs.

He gave me one, and I gave him a Parker pen in exchange. The cat picture is on a silk and two sided. On one side was a white cat and the reverse side was a mirror image of a black cat. He quoted famouse words from Deng Xiao Ping, "It does not matter the color of the cat is black or white, as long as it catches a mouse."

The truth sank into my heart, it is not the gifts or the value or price of it, but it is the expression of gratitude and friendship from the heart.
