Got scammed on alibaba? together we can help eachother.
Post 1 of 20
Yeah you've heard it all before, never thought it'll happen to u? yeah, that's what i thought. But those scammers are pros.

Recently i have been scammed by a indonesian supplier, im devastated. After reading and researching i became angry. Angry at those who uses people's "trust" to make others suffer.
They ARE making a living out of this, and here we are off and suffering the consequences. and over there, they are laughing and becoming rich.

The company that I got scammed by was called PT. Tempo Dairek (so, watch out everyone), he's a pro. this company is even listed in the indonesian yellow pages, and had professional invioces which must of taken ages to do. Tempo Dairek had all the photos i requested. You name it, they will provided it. sharp! their price werent the cheapest around, so i thought that was more reasonable(i knew the cheap ones will be scammers no doubt). stupid me, end up giving more away.............

booff...disappeared, as soon as they have got the money from the other side, i lost contact with him. rang him on both number provided countless times, one number does not exsist, the second one never get picked up. My hope to get my $$$$ back got smaller and smaller, i rang the local police which was no use, they kept on hanging up my call, the connection was anyway in indonesia and no one seem to speak english (except those scammer!!!!!!! im sure they have some kind of compulsory english lecture on: HOW TO BECOME MILLIONAIRES BY SCAMMING PEOPLE GLOBALLY--" YAY Lets rip off the whole world).

I know probably that i'll not recover the money which was lost, but what can we all do to stop this in the future? personally i want break his legs, and cut his balls off.[em10] because i was raising money to help others, and now not only i didnt raise anything, i've lost a lot, and also lost the trust in people.

here's the details of his account, wonder if anyone can track him down and recover the money for me, i will reward that person, break his knees if u have to. might sound nasty but those people should not deserve any sympathy. since alibaba has no warning or any security standard, they will continue to rip ppl off.

Full Name : Arief Wicaksono
address : jl. bungursari 42
city : Bandung
state : Jawa Barat
Country : Indonesia
postal code : 40000

everyone who has got ripped off before should team up. we are stronger together.

and if anyone has contacts to GHD supplier pls let me know.

Replying to [julicious]:Hi there , sorry you got scammed. I did too, by a company call Dipo Bibir. I did all the checks also but I should have known that any INDONESIAN supplier is a scammer. PLEASE DO NOT BUY PRODUCTS FROM THIS COUNTRY.
If im honest i wanted to make a quick buck from GHDs but nothing is for free.
I even read all the info on the community pages about people worried about buying from indonesia but i STILL parted with my money. I did all of the checks (or so i thought) the company is real , they just fail to send the goods out when you order. ALIBABA have done NOTHING TO STOP these fraudsters, which is a failing on their part also. I lost £125.00. I have put a curse on the company Haha I hope it works

yeah that sucks, i tried seeking for other companies for GHDs, however most companies who does sell GHD seems to be in indonesia, and they always say they r different than those scammers, of course im not gonna be stupid like last time, i came across a few doggy traders, but they all had certificates etc, unbelievable!!

i have an indonesian friend who told me yeah its very corrupted there, government there is also very doggy too, they used to * all the indonesian chinese living there and kill them after, and that was around 1999-2000, she drove straight to the international airport and brought her ticket there and flew out. in my point of view asian markets r quite risky because the laws over there is bendable. You know how many people lives there right~ and a lot of them are hungry for money.

i gave up on searching for cheap ones. now i stock them, i want to provide genuine service to people out there, western countries are must more secure.

alibaba did write me an email, said they will contact the seller, but nothing done after that. they really need feedbacks on this site, soon or later no one will be trading here.

Im just so  off that they ripped me off and threw me in the hot waters with my customers etc. i lost so much its not funny.

lucky we learnt now, and hopefully (finger crossed) that it will never happen again.

yeah, Indonesia is full with this kind of crooks as are other countries.
If you are sourcing beans, CPO, furniture, yup, Indonesia is the right place, but if you are on to cheap high tech things, forget it, you'll only get yourself scammed. Some of the info you got about Indonesia are true and some are not.
But one thing is certain, unless you lost more than USD 100,000, its not worth pursuing this crook, *, that might not be even his real name for all we know

Replying to [harry70]:hey u wont find cheap GHDs, i tried chatting with another supplier, of course was not seriously looking to buy, just wanted to know how many scammers there is, and found that there's probably countless of scammers, i requested the seller to send the stock b4 i pay and that seller told me they've sent the stock thro FedEX, and sent me an copy of the invoice of the shippment, and i can tell its fake!! they blocked the tracking number of the shippment, and told me that i need to pay now, and after i pointed that they r a fake, they then said if i dont pay they wont ship~ helllo? i thought they said they already shipped the items.... dont make sense huh....yeah coz they're scammers.
i think indonesian police might be no help to us, but we can try the embassy.

Replying to [julicious]:It is a sad thing that this crime is allowed in the 21st Century. This Countries Indonesia and Nigeria Government has to do more to prevent this from happening. Theyare Mortgaging the future of their Country if they dont do this as no one will want to do business with them
As for Nigeria the Government and Efccnigeria has done alot to fight this epidemic but People have to help by investigating more with the Nigerian Consulates, and Nigeria Police. Do not send cash do business with L/C with all this Countries. Stop sending Western union it is a bad habit no point in crying over spilt milk. In Nigeria now if u send money to a Companies account and the Company scam you the Bank is Liable and that is why this boys now ask for Western union so if you are doing business in one country pls be aware of the rules of the Banks just in case.

Well I guess I'll just join the crowd... I do not do business with Indonesia ever again. My wonderful experience started with:

Mr Anisa Trihapsari Leave me a message
Company: Cv. Trihapsari Electronic
Address: Sedap Malam St# 78
Country: Indonesia
Phone: 62-81-26534771
Fax: 62-44-1748309

Ordered phones, paid, never received items, tried to call and was cut off every time....
I had other companies in Indonesia, I asked for items and prices, but when I started asking more questions about the company I suddenly received no more reply...
Indonesia is off my list...

best regards to all

and be carefull

Mike
