For the true and honest businessman, the payment terms is not the best way to prevent scammers in China. On the one hand, I note that some sellers and buyers have also been scammed by L/C because you can make everything including the replicas of orginal documents in China or in the other countries. For instance, the businessman from Nigeria and India donot have a good fame at my end for some reasons.
Never cheat your partner ! this is very important in your international business!

Replying to [Business in China]:i have had dealings with many chinese suppliers and manufacturers and found many honest people to deal with,however i have been burnt a couple of times but beleive i am more aware now about the scammers that exist.
most of the time the quality issues are not there but it does happen.
generally speaking most things i buy are great especially at the prices one pays.

You see, this supplier, it's easy to check out that he is a scammer by studying his add offered: Can a park be located in an office ? If you're not sure, you have to ask a local Chinese to check it out before pay them.

Most of the Chinese suppliers are honest, but this does not mean a few of them are scammers, they are mainly located in Fujian province, China. Be careful, everybody!
