http://resources.alibaba.com/topic/2371/CHINESSE_SUPPLIERS_BE_AWARE_.htm

As a local Chinese foreign trade manager with high credit standing, I can assure you that 99% of Chinese suppliers are honest and reliable. China is becoming the so called ' world factory' and ' manufacturing centre' owing to her low labour cost, which benefit billions of people worldwide every year. Countless buyers from worldwide coming to China for business opportunities every year, and some Chinese suppliers have to compete with their counterparts worldwide to meet the regulations of WTO. After China joined WTO in 2001, more and more Chinese suppliers are becoming trustworthy and reliable as they have realized that they have to improve the quality and service to compete with others.

However, some foreign buyers take it for granted that Chinese goods must be very cheap, so they cut down the prices to the least, incredibly low to make themselves profit more. In such cases, some Chinese businessman are forced to cheat you because they profit too less. If you don't have a win-win concept in your mind, you're bound to be cheated in China. There is an old Chinese saying like this: Low price doesn't match high-quality goods.

I totally agree what grigo---An Australian businessman said in a comment. Here is part of his comments on Chinese suppliers.

"Please don't put ALL Chinese Suppliers in one basket. For every BAD one there are MANY good, honest ones.I've been dealing with Chinese Suppliers for over 12 years now, and YES, I TOO got scammed by ONE years ago, (only small amount). Now I am in a position where I have representatives over there (Chinese), who find goods for me of the quality I want, the price I want, and if there were any problems, THEY FIX IT.
One of the BIGGEST problems I have found in my years of travelling over there, watching, listening, observing, is that Westerners almost ALWAYS screw the Chinese Manufacturers down in price. Thus Chinese only have ONE option in order to get the business. THEY CUT DOWN ON QUALITY. Very simple. The old saying - you get what you pay for!
For the sake of a few cents more per item, you CAN get quality. I even get quality goods from them which are SUPERIOR in quality than those made in teh local market. "

So the best solution for avoiding business scammers in China is to find a representative like me and get your Chinese supplier verified, by this way, you can have good cooperation with your Chinese suppliers!

Don't be scared in dealing with Chinese suppliers, I can help you at all times! Come on and you'll profit a lot in the near future!

We can say most Chinese suppliers are honest, not say what is percent(99%),Buyer should find a balance between price and quality instead of  only focus on price,on my opinion,if a supplier give special price below material cost, perhaps it is a scammer[em21]

I cant believe this:

You may read above:

"...some foreign buyers take it for granted that Chinese goods must be very cheap, so they cut down the prices to the least, incredibly low to make themselves profit more. In such cases, some Chinese businessman are forced to cheat you because they profit too less..."

This is the opinion of a "...local Chinese foreign trade manager with high credit standing..."

So chinese businessmen are honest but occidental businessmen FORCE them to become scammers becoz they buy too cheap!!!   This must be a joke...

Scammers are everywhere, not only in China; but ALIBABA must be more carefull with users claims (scamers sould at least be immediatly banned from the site!!!) and we (users) should be informed of the steps we should take to claim against scammers through respective Chinese trade authorities.

if a persone know about the history and the nation of  china,he or she maybe know what the spirit around in every chinene people.and will areeg with you.for that  more of chinese people are kind hearted, unsophisticated, honest, and enthusiastic .most of them are reliable.i am not inclined to praising the chinese people.just say the truth of basic spirit for  them.

Many parents insruct their children of the theory about that people are naturally good.every of us should be honest and trustworthy..  in this morden life .they keep their spirit as well .but some of them for the force of life,to survive , they need consider some of theyself.they take some unmoral mathod to get the benifit.many foreigner think the price of china should be most cheap without doubt.so they cut down the price seriously.there seems no balance with the quality.so the result turn bad.but i am not agree with they use this way to gain the benifit.

so i think all of us ,not only the supplier but also the buyer can understand each other  ,get a common agree deal in the business to protect the mutual benifit friendship.make our international trade market work in a right way.be order.let's take it be a good start.

They assure correct deals and good quality, but I don't have any references of them! The company is named "heda-international-Trade Company Limited", the site is www.zqzxnr.com. They offer me very good prices, but I'm not very convinced..... Can you tell me something about?

Thank you!

Replying to [Business in China]: If what you are saying is true, can you connect me with one trustworthy supplier of electronics such as MP3, MP4, digital cameras, gaming consoles, memory cards and other accessories??? I am at the point I will never trust any supplier in China. I have been ripped off 3 times this month for thousands of dollars. I have cheaked hundreds of suppliers on these trade sites and they all turn out fake. I would love to find one supplier that offers reasonable prices and a secure form of payment that ensures we both get what we bargained for. Not too much to ask....Michael in Toronto

Perhaps 99% Chinese suppliers are honest and reliable. But also 99% Chinese products are copy or fake. Therefore they could selling at very lower price than the market it self.

As far as i know China never selling original products. Take example like an iPod. I don't understand why Alibaba allowed them to selling imitation, fake and copy products, while they're naming the items with APPLE!!! They even put the products pictures with APPLE pictures. Is this somekind of joke???? Is it allowed here to selling fake products and put original pictures on our site????

I am one who has been scammed. I decided that I was going to stop saying I wanted to start my business and went ahead and did it. I found a supplier and come to find out the supplier was a scammer! This network of people solicited my bid and the sad thing is, either choice I made I would have been scammed. I need to find electronics and at this point I either have to get the goods or refund over 10 grand that I do not have! Yes it makes me very mad, but I refuse to put everyone in a category where a few have stole from me. I am still holding out that I will find a supplier and one that can work with me as I try to get out of this bind because I have to get my customers their items. [em8]
