Keenmas has been discussed several times on this forum.  Please use the "search resources" function and read the previous posts on this company

Post a trade lead on alibaba.   Make sure you define your services so users can search under "buy" and find your company and the services you offer.  As far as being an auditor you can trust, I would use references from current customers to build a client base.

If you want LEGITMATE PS3's, game consoles etc.  The best (and safest way) is to go through an authorized North American Distribuitor.   This is the one sure way not to get scammed.

Additionally you're correct, I personally wouldn't do business with a company that only accepts Western Union.   The risk outweighs the gain.

To answer your question about chinese helpers and auditiors YES.   This is the best way to verify the legitimacy of a company.   Most of the helpers here are in the business of both sourcing and auditing.  Look around on the forum for some names or you may contact me on Trademanager for some direct information.

If you wish to verify a supplier.  Please follow the steps at the top of this post.   If you have further questions after that, post them and we will try to answer them.

Hope this helps all,  Robby[em1]

Hi

I have checked out the thread and there is some very useful information. I got caught a few months ago trying to purchase a Tomtom from a Chinese supplier. I transferred money via WU and lost it. Now I am in negotiations with a number of chinese companies with a view to importing other products but I am very very wary. I have verfied the phone number using the tools provided at the top of the thread. I have verified the web domain. I have yet to contact by telephone. Is there any search site to verifiy company details in China. Ideally, something like Companies House in the UK to verifiy a registered and legitimate company. I have asked for the company registraton number but have not received this.

We are about to place an order with a GOLD member who is supposed to have been checked out by a third Party Chinese financial organisation and a certificate issued on the listing page but now I think I'd better do some more checking.

It is quite a shock to discover that GOLD MEMBERSHIP means nothing.

How can Alibaba allow this to happen?

Re: 5. How to check your Chinese (or other) Supplier before ordering
Replying to [Rizzob]: Hello everyone, I'm a newcomer to international business and during the last weeks I been following with interest all discussion about due diligence forums, as I’m very interested on buying goods from china, specially electronics or computers accessories.
I locate this company Cool Sources, Co., Ltd., and after some researches about them, following the steps given by de due diligence forums, I hadn’t been able to find anything wrong with the company, I’m just about to close a deal with them on USB flash memory, for over USD $ 4,000, I got the Pro- Form Invoice and their bank account number, just ready to go, but before I jump into the water and send them the money, I want to ask for your help? Had anyone of you done business with this company before? I will really appreciate any information. I will be glad to provide more information if anyone ask.

The result from http://www.szgsinfo.com.cn/newquery_result.asp
shows this company is registered in Shenzhen with registration no. 4403011220996
but the company name in Chinese is a little bit different, not sure whether these two are the same one.

buying PS3 from a shoe factory?why? How could it be possible?
I myself received such kind of offers when I posted buying lead of MP3, but I only deleted it without second thought.

Really want to help, but I do not see any hope of recovering your money.

A piece of advice: do not trust anyone from Fujian province of China unless you have met him face to face and you are sure he is not a cheater.

Gold Supplier means the supplier has paid Alibaba a great deal of money, but this does not guarantee it will not be a cheater. Another situation is that some cheater may pretend that he is from a certain Gold Supllier, but the truth is he is not.
