Replying to [China Shipper]: you can insure your goods on 140% of the total value..
Which type of insurance or which type of insurance company???
And it costs only quarter percent of the order value.

Replying to [China Shipper]:

We have thress kinds of insurance coverage: ALL-RISK, Free of Particular Average (FPA) or With Average (WA).

But, there is no single insurance provides full coverage even for the "all risks" coverage.

An ALL-RISK policy insures approved general merchandise in the event of physical loss or damage from any external cause. This includes new, packaged goods without unusual susceptibility to loss from breakage, pilferage, or the nature of the goods themselves. However, ALL-RISK policies DO NOT cover all losses possible in the course of an international shipment.

You'd better consult your forwarder or insurance broker on how to protect your cargo in a most suitable insurance purchasing.

Replying to [China Shipper]:Yes it depend of the term of payment in which you are working. If your payment term is CIF(Cost Indurance and Freight.) then you will cover cargo too, from loading port to destination port.

Replying to [China Shipper]:The answer I recently got from an insurance company:
Basic insurance 0,2% covers lost cargo.
Extended insurance another 0,2% covers damage on the goods.

I was also informed that a veru old rule is valid that if for example the ship is stranded and they have to drop some cargo to get free, the owners of the cargo not lost will have to help pay the lost cargo. This is covered by the basic insurance.
