Hi Sunny liyan

I read from many offers that a "FFLC" is required as a payment method. I learn that some , if not all, "FFLC" means "Fully Funded Letter of Credit". I find this term odd, in the sense that , if a bank upon the request of an applicant on an application form, the bank will only issue a Letter of Credit after having subject the applicant through a rigorous credit check. In other words, if the applicant is a long standing customer of the bank , and has sufficient collateral pledged against such LC issuance, the bank will readily substitute its credit-worthiness and reputation for the applicant's , the bank will issue such an LC for the beneficiary upon presentation of such request/application for same.

I have emailed some banks in Bangladesh However, I've no reply. Please kindly advice me how I can obtain a L/C from any bank. Or if there is a way of operating this business withour breaching the law.

Replying to [MikePTY-HK]:Why my supplier claims that their company needs to pay high bank charges in order to clear the L/C? For example, every US$100.00 incurred an US$5 as a bank charge. Is that true? Please explain.
