Replying to [LAB1224]:its always in your own hand, depend on the value of your merchandise, and maby you have a good freightforwarders agent who can check the merchandise.
it is always important to check the goods, but you need the trust from people who can handle it. there are so many fake people who inform you that they have checked it for an fee of aprox 3 till 7 percent
but no checking, so best have a relation with your forwarder and inform him to check the merchandise.

Get an independant inspection agency like SGS, who are world wide - but specify exactly what you want and get a quote first or you may get a shock. Some Insurance companies insist on a pre shipment inspection report before they accept insurance risk on your cargo

Replying to [LAB1224]:It's not worth engaging inspection agency if the cargo value is small. If you believe the supplier is genuine, you won't have any problem. If you dealing with the supplier for the first time, ensure the weight of each carton is consistent and ask the supplier to email the photographs of the cartons and goods inside by email. These days photos can be sent from the spot by mobile phones/pcoket pc with camera using GPRS connection. You can see photographs on the web within minutes if this is done.

It is best for client to visit the facotry as the inspection before loading if there is over 5 container one time like in one country as China .if there is only 1 or 2 container or Bulk cargo .it is beter to USE agency .most of the time .The shipping forwarder can hanlde direclty and responsilble for client as one time to reduce the client cost .

Replying to [LAB1224]:As independent inspection company, we can advice you to minimize the risk of lost sales or product returns by conducting a pre-shipment inspection after the goods are ready and packed at the supplier's factory.
For the future, we also can provide you sample quality test before you release any orders to the supplier.
