Replying to [eloho]:

Hi Eloho, in reality it's not that bad. The only problem is that sometimes I can't contact people via Trade Manager (there seems to be a flaw in the program, because most of the times the person I try to reach is not a premium member) and they don't respond to my post here, asking them to send me a message. By now, many people must be thinking that I'm a rude guy and a liar, because I "don't respond" to their request.

I am glad to give you a "thumbs up" for your great writing about low cost house. Actually, I am working on a project to build house for local people in Africa where a lot of low cost house are badly needed, so what you have done maybe give me some new ideas on house building! So I wonder if you can send me a copy of it! Thanks a lot!

Hi Marvin, glad you like the idea. It's rather low-level and meant to be "food for thought" for newcomers, but still so might also provide food for thought to you.

In the meantime, the moderator of this forum - cyber chap - posted the related articles at this site: http://www.geocities.com/builderalib/lch.doc, so everybody can have easy access everytime he likes.

If you are interested, I there is also a paper about pozzolan I wrote quite a few years ago. It is also at an "introduction" level, but might be helpful. The worst part of it is really that some links might not be working anymore. Anyway, here it is: http://ferrocement.net/ferro/files/pozzolans-uwe.html

And if there is anything else you might want to discuss with me, just send me a brief message via Trader Manager, like: "This is Marvin Ma. My e_mail address is...", and I'll answer as soon as possible.

Today I had a spare moment and put together some thoughts about low cost housing. As it is in reply to Eloho's post, it focusses on the situation of a developer/builder in a tropiocal country. Anybody interested in a copy? I don't want to post it here, as it is very long and Alibaba is very slow at this time (doing maintenance/repair?).

Re: Re: Some criteria for low cost housing

Could you and "assetloans" please have a look at my reply to Marvin Ma, about 3-4 posts above yours? There you'll find the websites with the info.
