We never use insurance
Post 1 of 22
we have been importing many times from china lots of kid goods by the way, and usually prefer to delivery term FOB, and we never use insurance as we had received as CIF, its same.

The exporters dont aggree to make insurance police by the way, maybe it was concerning with the confediantialism on trading in small village, in the World. [em10]

Lol..are you trying to point out that insurance an't much of a use. All of your order's should be shipped with insurance besides the first sample order.
One day all these money you saved will come back at you, and you'll have to high payment to recover.

Replying to [haiden]:What do you mean "we never use insurance as we had received as CIF"
Well if you are buying goods on FOB terma, why supplier will give you insurance and if you are buying on CIF terms, Supplier must have to insure goods @ 140% or higher as per your deal..
Insurance is just for safety of goods and you don't loose any money if any mishappening happens.
and it cost only quarter percent of the order..

This is an old saying. A friendly suggestion to you is that please go for insurance. Any time if there is some problem you might loose heavily.

Replying to [haiden]:Don't depend in that you must have Insurance in every load or you'll regret someday also:
It's better for you both (Buyer and seller)to make insurance in your Country by local Insurance Company because:

1- If any damages happens you can proof it easier in local insurance company than Chinese insurance Company,

2-If you proof Damages its easier to take Mony from your local insurance Company than required a Chinese Company

3-Sellers didn't accept make Insurance becuse in this case (Of Damage) you will force them to following your Insurance and thats not their business -You will make them responsble in fact they are not -So,They prefer to not make a problems with Customers,

Insurance in China is very cheap you can use it only for Documentation as (GATT terms ) as a Paper to reduse Customs Fees but you must have your local Insurance Company which depend on if any damages in your load,
Wishing Good Luck no damages(Ahmed H.Said)
