I think every sales have to know English, but which language is the most popular except English?

I know a little Turkish, French, and Russian, also have a little Japanese and Korean. but I just know a little. I want to learn one language intensive except English, but I donot know which language is more helpfull, anyway, I like turkish, But all my friends hope I can choose French... I like France as a Romantic country, and I like Russian face, and I like the Korea, hehe...so that is hard to have a final choice.

So, can you let me know what is your third language? any suggestion is grateful.

If you understand "popular" as "appreciated by people" or "useful", I'm not quite sure. But I know that Spanish is second in overall usage in this world, though it is mostly spoken in well-defined regions as the first language. Therefore it might not be very "popular" as a foreign language.

Surely Mandarin is the most common language after English?

Like you say, Spanish (an Mandarin) are only spoken in specific regions, and are not so well spoken globally. Second is probably an indian dialect, due to mass immigration, however a large number of them would speak English too.

I'd say French perhaps?

As a useful foreign language it could be French, though Spanish is spoken by more people than Mandarin. Just think about all Latin America (plus a few other countries), except mostly for Brazil.

A lot of people do speak Korean and Japanese, but not many outside of Asia. I still think French is the most commonly spoken foreign language, after English.
