I have a strange dream, Japanese attack China, and someone ask me to choose,

a. to join the army and fight with them..
b. to leave China
c. to suicide
In the dream, I was trying to choose fight, but I was badly controlled by feeling of fear…
I remember One foreigner told me one thing, since he lived in China, he felt Chinese people are living in fear, fear of death, fear of accident, fear of poor life, fear of ….but only there is no fear of “ God”…
In depth of my heart, I always think what the solution is of “fear”? Because I also have lots of fear in my life and business, Do you know how to remove fear from heart?

Normally I wouldn't discuss religious subjects in a trade forum, but given your acute fear, I guess there are always exceptions.

The odd thing is that the "divine fear" you mention is basically the same as God's love for us and our love and respect for God. And the Bible says that this love casts out our worldly fear of whatever origin.

Being a Christian I have had encounters with satanic entities and didn't fear because I could feel God's presence. I left it in His hands to solve the problem, and it was indeed effectivley solved.

Don't fear; except for "fearing" God, and let Him solve the problems for you. If you really manage to put your faith in Him, it will work.

Fear is good, it sharps our instincts.
Fear drive us to build our houses, cities and whole modern civilization.
We start to improving our environment for our fitting because no one is up there to make it for us.

To my understanding, no one can get ride of fear!
Because everyone has something they really cares, then they will fell fear!
If someone who tells others that he never fears, he must be lying!
That's my opinion.

Replying to [heshelleyatgmaildotcom]: it's ok to have fear if that fear relates to certain and rare situations. but it's definately not good to fear life itself - and to me there also is no reason for this kind of "general fear". as long as you are healthy, have a home, food, family and friends, what will you be afraid of? don't worry, be happy! Well, Shelley, now you've got a few opinions to think about. My advice to you is, use both your heart AND your brain to decide how to face your problem. Wish you all the best!

I think there are only two ways to 'overcome' fear. Either we deal with it, or we ignore it. Remember the last time you are faced with 'fear' or 'problem', and you are still around today to look back, regardless of the outcome at that time. The worst thing to happen is not knowing what happens next (for instance for those who chose the 'easy' way out.. i.e suicide).

If it is fear about living and all the imperfections that come with it, then it's best to accept first and foremost that life itself is never meant to be perfect, as otherwise there simply won't be any competition, and we'd all be alike in every way.

The tough ones may survive (continue breathing), but I think the smart ones survive AND live (in a meaningful way) longer..

So dont remove fear for we need it as a trigger to spring into action.

Fear is in everybody, and there are variation in the degree and coverage. Psychologists call it 'phobia' and relate these fears to our past experiences and preconceived judgments.

There are basically three types of people, one who deal with their fears squarely, and confront them, or fight them as what you wrote. The second one is to replace the fear with love and understanding, most fears arise from the lack of understanding. For instance, many people fear the Great White Shark after the movies about shark attacking people at the beach. But people who learn to understand their behavior and habitat, began to understand them and the fear is removed. The third group of people run from their fear, form an escape by indulging in other habits, don't talk about it and some even resort to suicide.

Preachers who are dogmatic, only quote Bible verses, and cannot help the ones suffering from these fears. They even relate the fear, especially the fear of death to being lost, or unsaved, or un-regnerated, or non-Christian, or not born again, I have seen enuf of them all.

Fear can be very real to the sufferer, and they are the cause of psychotic problems. The extreme sufferers become paranoid, and suspicious and start to hear voices and talk to themselves, they have feelings that someone is talking about them all the time, and doing things to harm them.

It is true that Perfect Love Casts out fears, but how to love if you do not have a good understanding of the people whom you fear, in your case are the Japanese. For you, I would suggest to take a trip to Japan, and go for a vacation in the mountain side of the slow moving side of the Japanese culture, and you will learn to love them. They are very nice people, many of them would even go the extra mile to help a foreigner. If you are not sure, ask Thomas, I am sure he can tell you that.
