I only found out recently that China is the #1 producer of potatoes!

For some reason, in Britain people don't associate potatoes with China. Maybe because all the Chinese restaurants in britain sell noodles and rice but not potatoes.

Are potatoes popular in China? Or do they mainly get exported? How do you eat them?

Replying to [ChurchillUK]:I found this on the web. Seems like 2008 has been dubbed the year of the potato. Here is the web link :http://www.potato2008.org/en/world/index.html. It doesn't go into to much detail about how the potatoes are consumed by humans, but there is a lot of interesting facts on the website. Pass the gravy! [em1]
