Fung Shui - is this important for company growth?

Numbers and Dates

Businesses and career people alike, are cautious about an auspicious date to do some significant event, like getting married for example.

The Chinese would not get married on odd months, they will choose a date in the months of: 2, 6, 8, 10 and 12 for the lunar months.

Business people considered some numbers to be 'lucky-numbers' and some to be dreaded and avoided.

These numbers are: 8, 9 13, 22, 88, 99 or their vibrations. For the westerner, the number 13 is considered as something bad, started from Jesus with his twelve deciples, and one of the turned out to be His betrayer.

What is your take on this?

It is called Feng Shui in chinese language. What's more interesting ,there exists The Sir For Feng Shui, which means one man who is very professional in the field and have a lot of say. This is a saying from chinese tradition. It is very popular in the countryside.
It was heard from the parents when I was very young ,but I seem less to believe it.

This can be shown by many practices in our daily life.If someone get married, choose an auspicious date.Nowadays many people in china choose golden holidays such as Labor's Day,National Day and New Year's Day.There are still some auspicious numbers 6 and 8."6"
stands for the plain sailing in the career as well as life while "8" good
business and wealth.Aslo sometimes it is used in the business for appreciation. The mobile phone numbers are the best example. The numbers including "6" and "8"are more expensive than others.
It still happens in the daily tiny things. When we give present to the friend in his wedding party,888 or 666 are good ,and also when we lend or borrow money.

Replying to [Street Smart]:People throughout the world believe in lucky days, dates, lucky nos. etc.
In India we believe in Astrological and Numerological aspects. For example there are certain lucky nos. for persons born under a Zodiac sign. Also certain times every day are considered inauspicious. The major inauspicious time is called " Rahu Kalam" which is for a duration of 1hour and 30 minutes
Sunday-4.30 to 6 pm.
Mon- 7.30 to 9 am.
Tues- 3 to 4.30. pm.
Wed- 12 noon to 1.30 p.m.
Thu- 1.30 to 3 p.m.
Fri- 10.30 a.m to 12 noon
Sat- 9 to 10.30 a.m.
People do not start any new venture during this period. .

Please elaborate your point.

Why you do not think there is any connection between the two?

Replying to [Fefa]: Taiwanese believe in Feng Shui. Before setting up a new office, many people will ask a Feng Shui master to take a look at the office to make sure how all furnitures should be placed. (Or even before this, the Feng Shui master can advice you which building or place will be good to set up a new office.) After that, we choose a good date from the lunar calendar to start the business. I think Feng Shui more or less influence the growth of the business.

Tina Yang,

Lets be practical and analytical.

Companies with Feng Shui arrangements of opening dates, location, and house numbers, all under the supervision and consultation of the FS Expert, the Pak Kua. List them out and look at their annual turnover, growth over the years.

And companies without the FS influence and without any Pak Kua arrangements, but purely by the modern management style, business plans and strategy. List them and check their annual turnover.

Look at the Fortune 1000 top people like Bill Gates, George Soros, Oprah Winfrey and Alan Greenspan and ask how they achieve their success without the FS.

How much can we learn from them?
