Why do chinese write in (funny Things) and not in ABCD
we could then at least work some words out ..

To cultures that do not use the 3,000 year old phonetically based ABCD system, the ABCD system looks funny.
Wouldn't this issue be a matter of cultural perspective? Ethnocentricity?

Replying to [Professor Carl]:Yes, true, before I get to know English, I thought it was funny. I am quite okey about English now. However, I would still think other languages other than English and Chinese are funny. Here I do not mean anything, just the first feeling about something new.
