as you may have noticed, food in Mainland China has been rising recent days which paves the way for inflation.........as you may know....food supply in China is so important that it has a very big market share in the world....so, i am wondering, if the food cost in China keeps on rising, the global agriculture and food supply would be very much upset.......especially tanned food and rice

Whilst the demand from China should not be ignored, I think the amount of wastage in Western countries (particularly America), suggests that China's market share in terms of food consumption is not as large as it is population wise.

Therefore, it won't have so much of an affect. Sadly, it may simple mean that suddenly the poor in China cannot afford to eat well, and the rich just to pay slightly more than before for their food.

The poor cannot afford to buy meat, fish or/and poultry, they would ingest more vegetables which is healthier.

The Soaring price of food will not upset the global supply of food. Rather it is the demand and supply of food that will upset food supply globally.

I think China should do something about their food supplies soon. Suddenly if all the billion strong chinese demand better quality food or imported food, we will see a gradual shortage of food and global food price will go up.
