The best way our company has found with dealing with scams is to make sure that we are the ones in control. Our company requires the seller to either accept Paypal or Escrow.com for all money transactions. When we write our buyer leads we always tell sellers straight out that we deal with no other payment options until a relationship is established. Alibaba is a great site to find suppliers, you just have to use alot of caution and control the buying process. Remember it will always cost you more if you don't use caution and just jump on the sweetheart deals. Sellers should have no problem with using Paypal or Escrow.com, they are both legitimate sources of payment and the buyer pays the escrow fees. Hope this helps.
