and in my opinion,
firstly, we should create a database of our customer, we save the information of them ,such as their company, their products ,their private information and so on.
secondly,we should visit them seasonal, or call them seaonal, and we may send them some fantastic gifts
thirdly,we should hold some activities or salons, and we invite our customers to communicate together

To set up a file, in which there should be the information of the client's information, inquiry information, the question you encouter when you deal with the client, and so on. List out all you can think to be a file, but the file should be clear enough so that not only me but someone else can know it well.

Replying to [Shufen jie]: we use salesforce.com for most activities. But if you don't have much money to invest in that, combine outlook with access 2007 - it is a cheap solution, but works well at times.
