Replying to [Admin]:[em19] One of this method is referred to in Nigeria as The Advance Fee Fraud. These Fraud sters are gradually being caught up with by The Body called (EFCC). those involved are referred to as Yahoo Boys because they stay on the Internet overnight to trap innocent biz men. So another telltale sign is to check if the Nigerian time of their email is overnight. Victory is ours [em20]

Hello - i understand your article 'Avoid Becoming a Victim of the Scam'.
A director in a company i know, was scammed via a mob making him think his money was going on Unleaded Options, their company is listed on Nymex.com thus he thought it safe. His wife has left him and he has more debt because of the scammers.
They had several people working on it including women.
Since then I found this web address and some others who had been scammed.
http://www.scam.com
Maybe is of use to others?
Regards

Replying to [Admin]:I am so lucky to read this article.
this month,I received two eamil from Nigeria.
I replyed to the both emails.
and they both asked me to send a poformail invoice.
they promised every terms we asked for without bargain.
i was very puzzled ,their ways was really abnormal,
my former customers allways would bargain with me many things,
and also need to confirm many things,.
it is so simply to direct to performal invoice.I think they may be cheating .
fortuntly ,i do not send them any email.
I just wonder how can they get money from our accounts
once they get our account information

First you have to know that never ever 100% trust to anybody/supplier even you have deal many times already.

1. Trust Pass or Gold Supplier is one way to get started to verify the company. Search Engine from Yahoo and Google are important.
2. Research. You have to know their contacts, location and how long have they been in the business. Ask them to provide the information you need. They should have no problem at all, nothing to loose between to party.
3. Local check. ItÂ’s much easier if you have local friends. Ask them to help to check their profile for you.
4. Compare their product quality and prices, its match or unbelievable. Remember price is never lies. If they can give cheap price, you have to ask how they can or what they do to make the price lower.
Place small order for trial or always start small.

5. Test price. Try to push their price and understand they have to say. They will not give cheaper price to you because they have the confident to give you good quality and services.

6. Negotiate. Ask them what they can offer you if your quantity reach certain level. Example: first order 1000, then how about reach 10.000.

7. Face to face. Second and third times visit is necessary. Bring somebody to check their products, be able to understand local language is better.

8. Backup plan. When you have plan to visit their company, be sure you have a backup plan to visit other company, just in case this whole email talk is scam only.

9. Exchange. Give your information just about enough for them to give their information to you. They should give you more, because you are the customer.

10. Honest first then trust. Tell them about you and what you need. You should work together well if you know each other. Not just buyer and seller relationship.

11. Call them on office phone and hand phone.

12. Alibaba resources read it and keep it.

I go to china many times already and currently stay at Guangzhou (plan to stay longer). Scam is not around unless somebody just not careful enough to check and double check.
Fell free to leave comment.
