Laws in China about fake goods
Post 1 of 8
What are the laws in China about a company creating counterfeit goods. I have seen and heard of many companies providing copies / fakes, how is this possible?

Until now, you can produce and sell inside China what you want, patented or otherwise protcted will not be a problem !
To export such things will be a littlebit complicated and is restricted with some new law´s. Sometimes the Chinese Custom will seize a Container to show goodwill against the WTO, but like evreywhere
where is a will, there is a way !
This only to explain, I will not agree to this practise !

Of course it is illegal to make fake goods which will infringe on IPR or will be harmful in other aspects and there are so many laws against it. The problem is how to prevent and stop such illegal things to happen again and again.

Do you have any contact details for police or copyright investigators in China, I have also been scammed. The chances of getting money back are probably remote but at least maybe I can make things a little warm for them. Also the name of a reasonably priced lawyer who can handle this sort of thing would be useful.
