Which Chinese Brands will be World class next generation brands?
Post 1 of 25
I have come across China Telecom as one famous brand of China. Which Chinese brands are leading now and have the potential to become world beating brands like Coca Cola or Microsoft or Google, if not now, at least in the next generation?

Will Alibaba be one of the famous Chinese brand? I invite your thought process.

I think Chinese brands will not become famous worldwide until the more creative, private businesses get access to greater reserves of capital. SOEs in China are still very inefficient and I don't believe they will become worldwide brands, yet they still have greater access to financing, through floatations on the stock market or through the banks. Private SMEs are deprived of this investment, and therefore cannot development to challenge in global markets (for the most part).
Of course there are exceptions, but I feel you will see more of these companys becoming recognised brands as the financial system in China developes.

As we know ,China is a developing country,It changes every day ,and take more important roles in the world market .There is not many companies in China pay attention to the construction of their brand, for the cost and some other reasons .But it is changing to the right way .Like Alibaba ,lenove,Hai er,and I think it is not far that more and more China brand will into our sight,I am sure .For I am Chinese born in 1980s,we are working hard to achieve it.

Hai'er would that be the whiteware group? They do pretty well here in NZ - excellent products something akin to european designers - excellent quality lines as well - my family put me onto Haier whiteware - best choice for domestic use I ever made - highly recommended.

Lenova, Hai'er, Sany, China Telecommunications, Petro China, Alibaba etc are all world class brands now.

I think it's still a long way to go for more Chinese brands to debut in the overseas market owing to the lack of talents and strategies. [em1][em1]

Yeah, come to think of it, I am using Lenovo laptop computer..... but it is actually a computer made from IBM.... so is it a Chinese brand even though I know that it is initially from IBM??????? Globalization has sure smudge the distinction on a country 's unique brand

ahem.... Jackie Chan is the Icon of Success of the Hong Kong's movie industry. Well, it does translates into Hong Kong Brand. But is it Chinese Brand?

FYI, I am getting tire of new Jackie Chan's movies. The same materials being used again and again since 20-30 years ago. To those who like Jackie should watch his old movies. Those old movies are way better because Jackie was younger, faster, stronger, and the technique are better. But I have to admit, even his old movies have no substance, rather only actions.
