Which Chinese Brands will be World class next generation brands?
Post 1 of 25
I have come across China Telecom as one famous brand of China. Which Chinese brands are leading now and have the potential to become world beating brands like Coca Cola or Microsoft or Google, if not now, at least in the next generation?
Will Alibaba be one of the famous Chinese brand? I invite your thought process.

Although there are few companies what their name are well known - like China Mobile, China Telecom, Sinopec, they are not serving/selling worldwide, only domestic.
Famous brand normally stand for radically distinctive and without equal & must be leading in their field.
Compare with traditonal industrial countries, China is still young. Still a long distance to go for any Chinese brand name to be famous in the world.

Lenova, Hai'er, Sany, China Telecommunications, Petro China, Alibaba etc are all world class brands now.
I think it's still a long way to go for more Chinese brands to debut in the overseas market owing to the lack of talents and strategies.

Hard to say which current brand can be world cl *, the situation is: many great powers in china are state owned enterprise.
On the other hand, some chinese suppliers are getting more and more market ratio on the international market, such as the lighters (produced in south china) and candles (Kingking Co., in my city:-))-small parts, big industry!

Replying to [Business in China]:Lenova is defenitely an happenig brand from China. But many people in India don't realise the the fact that it is a Chinese brand. Some disconnect is there. They don't promote their nationality.

I have this feeling that China itself is still the only Brand name in China. Everybody has an opinion about China - love the food, must be hard language, so many people, takes our jobs, cool kung fu etc.
What comes to companies, the very first acclaimed household brand could very well be some company that is not yet a big player. As China market opens and has some ideological flexibility then the opportunities are huge for rapid market shift.

For example,Bank of China, they develop branch world wide.In logistic area, COSCO,CSC are also known and ordered by customer from all over the world.
China grow every day,so I believe in the future some brands will develop to everywhere of world, even in our life like CocaCola

Dear Friend
I totally agree with you. China it self is the biggest and most popular brand of China.
Chinese have to do better in promotion to many there individual brand name. At presesnt they seem to ignore this part.

For me, if you classify Hong Kong as part of China (sure for me), HSBC should be the brand....
