Importing from India

Hey guys! I'm a super newbie to this whole importing thing and I was wondering if I could get some help. I have never imported before and I'm currently looking at a company in India that sells spas and saunas. The Company's website is http://www.excelvantage.com/
So far the situation seems pretty scammer free but I was wondering if there is anybody in India that could inspect the goods during pre-shipment. When the goods are delivered, do I pick them up at my local port or are they shipped right to my door? Will there be any major hidden fees that I should be aware about? And If anyone has bought from India before I would love to hear some feedback and things I should ask for and so on. Sorry for all the newbie questions and sorry if I'm making you guys feel like your researching my Due Dilegence. Just be very careful, I bought from another Indian supplier who substituted inferior products to the ones I ordered and paid for. I even have a written guarantee that this would never happen.
He refuses to even communicate now, it really is to the point where I am considering getting on a plane and sorting this out in India. I am contacting the Chamber of Commerce in Calcutta as he claims to be a member, hopefully they will look into his business practices.
He advertises on here, I have contacted Alibaba and hope that they can do something to stop this from happening to someone else.
The company name is S.H. Munshie & Co......Be very careful when ordering from India this is the 2nd Indian 'company' that has defrauded me.
