I have found it much more difficult to develop your own brand nowadays unless you are either very lucky or you are very rich. It is unarguable that nowadays teens start to stereotype brands.....and various brands represent various meaning.....e.g. nobleness for LV, casual for Ape, and even thiefs talk about brands....(they like Burberry).....

so, as you may have found, new brands always wither, as ppl rarely give them a chance.....what do you think?

i agree one of the major problems when you start your own brand is that you want to make the big bucks and the big department stores isn't the best place to look tough place to start. Start small etc markets , ebay if you have a demand & quality product at a competitive price you should do ok...

Yes, Brands are very difficult to get recognition(national or international), neither the money or investment, nor the products can play role to achieve the good will of Brands. We need some patience, struggle to keep the consistency on quality, to be used hightech marketting tools, advertisements, best presentation, nice behaviour etc and the products should be useful. In my view, these things may help to get the brand good will and popular.

The brands which are not popular in the market(local and global) are useless. These brands are supposed to have it only for the legal matters and not for other purpose.

I agree to an extent but if God is with you and you have faith anything can happen but yes overall it is harder these days. The buyers are sheeps or shepherds but 95% of sheep following shepherd. You need a strong brand image these days and money to market business. But there are alot of ways to attract to that are cheap i have many secrets to brand success. Everyone is right - there's so much that goes into making a successful brand - You need money, persistence, acumen and on top of everything else, you need luck

I don't care how you slice or dice it - Luck plays such an important part in our ever changing consumer society - in an industry such as apparel where the life cycle of most fashion brands is 5 years, you not only need hard work to sustain your brand - but if you don't have a bit of luck, how will you even reach the first or second years of existence?

I've seen too many brands in streetwear that have gotten lucky with no outstanding product and I've seen so many deserving streetwear brands that die out without even making a splash in the industry - it's sad but that's life
