Arranging A Visit For My Potential Customer
Post 1 of 10
I am absolutely a rookie in international trade. He told me that "Please provide me with all travel details and accomodation that I need to have as this will be my first time to visit your country. " But I have no idea what I can do for him. Send a invitation? book a hotel? or something else? Who can help me? I have no experience.
How can I make this meeting a pleased one.
Thank you in advance.

Replying to [Bryant]: I think that you can do that: 1) prepare a products Spec, project status, or etc detal information include paymanet, shipping. 2) perpare a guide line of itinerary, it is like a schedule. 3) List commodity charges (hotel, meal,Taxi etc) and expense by air or sea.

I wish that it can help you.

Simple. You can ask him directly. No need to guess what he needs.

Replying to [Bryant]:Take it easy, just as others said, if it is a potential customer, you should think what he needs, and know your own company more, what you can provide. Following several points for reference.

-1. What is the intention of his visit? You should ask him for a visit agenda, or topics. Do not be afraid of asking because he might like you more if you ask than without requiring.

-2. Once you get this agenda, you can make necessary preparation by according to the information on it, and more importantly, you should notify your factory for neccssary preparation. Person in factory must know what they need to pay attention to.(If you belong to this kind of "company-manufacture" business.)

-3. Arrange pick-up, meal carefully.

Replying to [Bryant]: You can ask him directly. Don't just guess, it will waste a lot of time, and often make you make wrong decision.[em1]
