Dear all.

As a buyer, I have run into countless of people on TM that contact me and only once I have a saleperson come to a straight forward answer to my question concern their products. Nine out of ten time they claim to be a manufacture of the product that I'm looking for, but as the conversation go on, I find out most of them are some source of a trading agent. They just hunting for buyer and bring them to manufacture, which is fine with me.
My point is why can they declare right up from the begin "I'm a tradding agent specialize in the industry and would like to help". That would save me alot of time rather than send all the time talking and find out they not even specialize in the industry that I'm working in.
Please, Lady and Gent. if you want to do business as an agent then say so, and please do your studied in the industry that you want to working on, so you can get the answer to the buyer as you talk and not wasting our time.

This is a very valid point you have raised.

Have you tried asking the question of whether they are a manufacturer or trading/sourcing agent from the very begining of the conversation?

Also, maybe you screen your potential manufacturers prior to engaging any lengthy communications by requesting only manufacturers contact you. Perhaps you can set specific criteria they need to answer prior to any further communication?

In my experience, only 1 out of 100 are the real manufacturers. But many people are making money in this way itself

Replying to [partsman]:Dear Sir, you are right, maybe some is that. As known that a trading company and a factory is not the same office, as the trading companies are always in city, which is easy to transport.. and the factories are in town, which is far away from city.

but they are the same company.
