And they wonder why they're not getting responses from buyers...
Post 1 of 14

Of all the responses to my buying leads that I've received so far, I would say that :

99% didn't bother checking their spellings

90% didn't bother attaching product photos

80% didn't answer the questions I asked in the buying leads, instead they just throw a bunch of company history at me like I care

70% didn't bother reading carefully what exactly I'm buying. I said I wanna buy iPod docks and they tell me they sell laptops. Uh....okay.....

40% didn't bother telling me their company name or contact name. Or both.

20% didn't bother putting any company information / contact information in their quotation.

10% is scam. Their mom / dad / husband / wife died and for some reason they're trusting me, a complete stranger, with their zillions of dollars. Yeah right.

8% WRITTEN IN ALL CAPS. I DONT EVEN BOTHER READING THOSE MESSAGES. DO YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE HURTING MY EYES???

And here are just some examples that really me off :

1. I stated in my buying lead that I'm only buying 100pcs of an item. Yet when suppliers contact me and I ask for their MOQ, they would say "5000pcs".

2. I posted a SELLING LEAD and suppliers keep emailing me telling me they sell the same products. I'm like,  ??????!!!!!!!!!

3. I asked a supplier for the price and photo of an item. Next thing I know she sends me an invoice and asks me to pay for 5000pcs of them.

4. I posted a buying lead looking for candles. A supplier asked me to check out their web site which has only 10 products and they're all baby clothes.

5. I posted a buying lead looking for an item. More than 5 suppliers responded and this was all they had to say "Dear Sir, we're a good manufacturer in China, we have what you are looking for, please contact us." No product information, no nothing.................................

Its great that you acuaully showed some members here the percentile of these type of things.

Tons of companies don't even bother to read the buyer's requirements, they just send the seller inquiry to the buyer if they are some what related to that product.

Replying to [dreamscorp]: I get exactly the same everyday, I fail to see how most of the suppliers stay in business due to their total lack in customer service & communication skills.

Hi Shirley,

As you can see, the only thing that distinguishes you from the rest of the crowd is that you are quite able to clearly express the situation, but we all suffer from the same problem. Now, who knows how to make the sellers listen to our concerns?

Regarding the subject "spelling", how could we make them understand subtleties like PET and a pet being two totally different things? There must be more examples like that, but overall they project themselves as being totally disinterested in making things clear and life easy.

And then you read posts saying that it is so difficult to sell...[em28]

Replying to [dreamscorp]: I understand your situation,But As you know, there is only a little buyers compare with suppliers, everyone want to sell his product. So We always introduce our company and product to interrelated person, and hope establish bussiness relationship. We should understand each other. No buyer,No Supplier.

Replying to [dreamscorp]: there's just too much bloody amateurs on sites like this, clueless soldiers of fortune, trying to make the big money in a minute.
i stopped wondering about how millions of people think business works, i'd have to doubt mankinds common sense otherwise ...
my suggestion is to not post buying leads (as this instrument obviously doesn't work at all, i made the same experience) but invest the time and search for suppliers yourself.

There are some suppliers who do not even know why they present here there products, I viewed pictures on there Ad and while contacting them they can not answer about, so no sound and no choice.
