I find it is very difficult to verify a seller is serious or not.  I have encountered several sellers before, but they proved to be bogus companies.

Can someone tell me how to find a serious seller and how to verify them according to your own experience?

Replying to [hurricane]:To know seriousness of a supplier Pl check following.

Ask for his Export Licensence details

Ask for few buyers references he has served in past and cross check

Ask sellers to submit samples of each category with latest tech reports you ordered.

There are govt. rating agencies who advised credibility of suppliers .pl check with them.

I am also a manufacturer and supplier. People over the internet are always asking for reduced price, as the only criteria would be price for them and most of the time it is very frustating.

So far I have found that there are no serious buyers on the interment.

if the seller quotes fair price at one go and give full specifications packing details asks payment terms, offers specific qty and shipment time without delay and does not bargain ,the seller is more likely to be genuine. also ask pointed questions about the product if u get satisfactory answer without delay then the seller is likely to be genuine.ask him if he has exported to yr country if answer is yes,.ask him details if he does answer check on it and if correct info then he is genuine otherwise if he has given false info then drop the seller he is obviously not genuine

If you are surfing the net for suppliers of certain items then please follow the following points :
1) Visit his website and find out the products traded /manufactured by him
2) Call for the supplier's manufactured or traded items free of cost for evaluation at your end
3) Some suppliers initially send a quotation in one name and later on when a purchase order is in the process of being released they ask to change the name of their firm - these are hanky panky ones.
4) Have an independent inspection for verification of the product to be purchased by appointing an inspector in the country of origin or simply ask your shipping agents to do this job, they will charge you for this service.

Replying to [hurricane]: Though I am not a buyer but being a seller I suggest that ask specific details of the articles that he/she is selling and asking for a sample is I believe is one of the other fine ways because the real seller wouldn't be able to provide you a sample of your required article. One more way, when the seller will send the sample check if he has sent through a corporate courier account or through cash account.

Replying to [hurricane]: One more way to find out if the seller is serious or not, there is an international company namely DNB; they check the business/credit history of any company, most of the good companies have started taking their registration number, DNB has offices in almost every country of the world, you can easily find out their phone numbers and other details through internet for your respective country

Hi, i have same question.my the very first contact was and it is still disaster.
seller want money in advance by Western Union.By the way they are selling Tv mob phones and laptops. England. All amount in advance by Wester Union !!!
Managing Director how he said for himself , on my question that is not possible to send all amount on this way , asured me by calling one hundred times by day how they are serious how we have to trust each other. And finally from amount of 5.200 usd accept only 800 usd. I took a risk and send 800 usd by nothing at all.And after two weeks we have very bad conversation. No money no goods.Only story and changing conditions.
oh, I already forgot , next friday he asked more money, and next friday more , some some unexpected expences.

They spam my money so nice.

Who is talking about the Buyer?

We are talking about the Seller.

The end date is tomorow noon until they have to send back money to me!!! After that I will present name of company , name of all people and all correspodence .

And I am thinking about that how many times happen same to other people.
And we are talking about Seller. How we secure Buyer?

Replying to [hurricane]:It is almost impossible to weed out all bogus inquiries, however, one thing I do is make them do some work. For example, make them visit your web site to find the items they are inquiring about. If someone says says send me all your pricing they are probably not serious, but if they take the time to go through your site and pick only certain items they are more serious. Also inflate all sample prices as some people are only looking for 1 or 2 items but want the container full price.
