So far, free members are limited to create new topics in other area of the Resource channel except the Q&A section which is for members to seek solutions for the problem they get.

As a free member,  you can reply and continue the topics in other boards. Only TrustPass member & GoldSupplier member can create new topics there.

Folks at Alibaba,

Let's not discriminate against people who are Free Members here on your discussion boards. It is fair that you have certain benefits for GoldSuppliers and TrustPass members in your listing section. But, to stop Free Members from posting a new topic is shear ignorance.

Remember, the reason why there are discussion boards on the Internet in the first place is the free flow of ideas and discussions. Constructive input and feedback by intelligent people help everyone. Why would you want to restrict posting new topics to just the GoldSuppliers and TrustPass member (don't tell us that because they are paid members)?

Please, keep this forum more democratic and open to the general public. It is enough that we the FreeMembers took the effort to register, visit Alibaba on a regular basis, take the time to post our opinions on the discussion boards, and buy from GoldSuppliers and TrustPass members? You ought to open up and allow us FreeMembers to post topics of interest. This restriction is totally unfair to the Freedom of Speech concept of the Global **** activities.

I think the reason they set privileges may be that the Resources channel is just at its trial period, it is just a baby, so you can not ask it to be perfect. And it will be perfect one day if we all stick to it and have confidence in them.

You are right. We certainly need to nurture the Alibaba team, and help them to iron out the wrinkles. "Resources" is a great initiative, and we all should work together to make it a success.
