Apparel and Fasion in China
Post 1 of 13
To be honest, there are billions of consumers for fashion in China. Every weekend, you can see almost all fashion stores crowded in Dongguan, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. Especially, young people like the dresses and bags of Korean and Japanese styles. They are also crazy about the latest shoes with fashionable styles.
Such consumption greatly stimulates those investors. So many factories are created. I am sure that only in south of China you can find millions of such factories. In the southernmost of Guangdong province, there is a small town, but this town is famous as its shoes manufacturing. Stores next to sores and factories next to factories. The trucks shuttle one by one without stop.
There is another kind of footwear manufacturers. They just make the copy of branded shoes like Nike, Converse, etc. But most of such company do not have their company registered in government. They have to hide there workshop and make fake brand shoes. When you deal with such factories, please carefully distinguish them from scammers. You'd better not deal with them if you have not reliable contacts to help you here.
However, these years, it is not easy to export to apparel to Europe and America. When you import from China, please check all details in advance.

Replying to [Peter Chan]:Pardon me to say this Peter, the fashion centre of China is in Shanghai.
There are the most updated fashion designs in the many shopping malls in Shanghai. I visited one called Nanking Street in Shanghai, and I was amazed by the numerous shopping and departmental stores with multistorey buildings lining up the Nanking street. An electric tramcar runs along the entire street from one end to the other. This is fashion shows, parade and number of events all linking to the Apparel and Fashion, like costume jewelleries, makeups, shoes winter jackets, summer clothes and handbags.

Dear Street Smart, I have to tell you the truth, all you see in Nanjin Street, Shanghai are the truth, but it is onlly the retail market in China. If you have visited more city in China, you will find, in each city, there have a maket like Nanjing street shanghai, only differ is the dimensions. the market said by Peater is the special wholesale markt, that is not in every city, and the size is more biger than retail market.

Yes, what Su Pengfei said is true. What you saw is retail market. For example, in Guangzhou, there is a Beijing road which is same to Nanjin street in Shanghai. In Dongguan, there is women street as well.
The markets that I posted are wholesales markets and production centres which suit for wholesalers and those business men who purchase larget quantity.
