Good casts are smooth and has no pittings, and I seen one Chinese Company in Dalian having this. There is centrifugal cast, there is vacuum cast and these methods are to maximise the fillings into the mold so no bubbles are formed. Much has to depend on the mold and the cast material.
Ask yourself this question: If you were to quit from this company, what other alternatives do you have?
Let me tell you a story: While working in South Korea, I met many people who do not speak proper English. Even the GM of the company speaks broken English, and those who were hired to communicate with foreign customers are graduates from Language majors with zero technical knowledge from the start. Many people on the street do not speak other tongue, because there is no need to.
I met a young man, fresh from Kwongju University who speaks English fluently. He also speaks and writes Chinese and Japanese, I have good impression of him. He works in the company as Sales Assistant Manager for Japanese market, and now transferred to the China Market. His salary was only USD1,000 per month in 2003 when he first started. He works hard and talks to the Engineering people, learned the tricks of the trade: payment terms, shipping, documentation, quotation and Sales management. I taught him to go to China and make presentations to the Customers, and he learned. Now his salary is USD2000.00 a month, he drives a new SUV, and planning to get married.

Replying to [Street Smart]:But during the time when I first met him, he was frustrated with his work, like you. I spoke to him and told him how to increase his sales and how to get new customers, that became a bright ray of hope for him. But I also asked him this question: How do you feel about your work and situation? Do you want to quit or to carry on and improve on your work? If you want to quit, I can recomend a job which fits you best - a TOUR MANAGER.
China is going to host the 2008 Olympics and there are lots of opportunities for people to do translations Chinese to English and vice versa. If you feel lousy still and see no hope of improving your career path, then look for this opening.
When I mentioned the word "Losers" meaning that people who give up, in times of difficulty. It is not the mistakes or wrong things that we do, we all learn from mistakes, but it is when we give up, that makes us losers. Even if you were to be a tour manager or translator, there will be some problems and difficulties along the way, and you will have to solve them.

Replying to [Street Smart]:thanks for the explanation for generation x,y,z,I have never heard of them before .how do they come from?
Your illustration for the word"failure" is wonderful, one failure is not real failure, the failure is just for those who give up easily.
your comprehensive knowledge makes me admire, how do you have an understanding of precision casting ,but you yourself are from a church, which is a little surprisng .
First of all,I am not majoyed in english but international trade ,because i became intereted in english in the college time,I improved a lot, read papers and magazines, listen into radio programs such as voa ,bbc.go to english corner or places where many people come around for studing it,join in some english activites. But I had a taste of enjoyment the english brought until my junior year while before years less time was taken on it.
I believe I still can not achieve the standard of being a professional translator ,but no question for general communication,
I have served for many foreign customers in this company.anyhow, I am always learning for better and better.maybe I will have a long way to go for the goal.

the story of your friend is very inspiring ,a good lesson for me.but I don't think we are in the same situation. My situation is less working experience,no chance to study abroad,so we will show different value in the society.he must be get well paid in the very beginning, people like me must first work for money,of couse there are some reasons behind ,the family background is an important factor.
when money is concerned ,I become tired ,why should I work for money ?money is not everything, but it can solve a lot of problems.without enough money ,we are working for money, thus pressure will never vanish from our shoulder.

Replying to [tianye]:When I was in Shanghai for a promotional tour of China, we had a young lady who is Chinese working in the office. She speaks and writes fluently in both Korean and Chinese languages.
Some part of the journey had to be done by train, and on long travelling time, so we have time to talk casually about things other than business. She is single and planning to get married soon, maybe in 3 years time and she said these "Money is not important to a marriage, it is love and a good and faithful man."
Everyone says the same thing, even those fresh graduates from the University who join the company as their first job. But the truth is that money is the most important matter in life. Why does the company exists? .... because of money. Why do we have to work? ... for money. I seen many married couples breakup because of the mis management of money... either the man did not make enough money or he gambles it away or spent it on alcohol drinks.
You must have a 'value for yourself' ... to determine how much you are worth in the market and ask this amount from your boss. There is a term called job evaluation and there is also a market price for the job at the company. This price tag is determined by the amount of contribution the individual in that position plays in the corporation.

Somehow I agree with you.I've seen the same thing everywhere.
Maybe simply put,we can say " Money is not everything BUT everything needs money "

Replying to [Street Smart]:I once told owe much responsibility to myself, but is it only my responsibility?the boss seems very little concern about their direct overseas market, what he is most concerned is keep business steady first,of course I can understand if standing on his point.with this purpose, little money is used on the development of direct overseas customer.
anyway,I try my best to have expanded my business.many informations that I can search in my way of handling ,pity there are still many issues I quote prices and track again and again,I often call direclty to the customers sometimes no replies by email.every time I look for the reasons why they don't need our products.
two situation usually confront me ,one is the price and the other is the process.when the drawings reach me ,I hand over to the engineer ,he tells me we can not make or quote the price a little higher .Because I can not develop products ,I do whatever he says.
I will become very angry and very tired when something like this happens again and again.you know it will beat my confidence of going forward.
I need to have a good conversation with the boss,he is afraid that I will leave ,in this case he must search another one with big trouble,in fact, before I come for the position, there are several who have played the role.at that time,I didn't understand why they left and very fascinated with my future.the actual situation is I don't get what I want.I really want to make contributions for the company ,then I also get well paid .don't you think I should change for another company ?

I am agree with Aussie, if you are not well satisfied with your situation now then you surely need to change your job. and I am totally agree with trado, first of all you need to find a new job, and then leave the current job. In our country we have a very nice proverbwhich says: "Don't distroy your old house before you build a new house". I have personnally folen into this kind of situation and I am happy that I have changed my job. My advice would be, just find a new proper job for yourself and quit your current job.
Good Luck

Replying to [jonik]:Another saying: "Don't burn your bridges"
Who knows when you may need to cross it.
And always leave on good terms (if possible) because you may need a good reference or kind word.....

Replying to [jonik]:yes,I agree with both you.tks for your suggestions ,I know well in my heart .on one hand, keeping present job gives further support for money.
on the other hand, with a job on hand,I may be able to talk about the salary with great confidence .anyhow,I only hope to show my value through my ability, certain percentage of the total sales is what I will consider.otherwise there is nothing interesting to live by fixed salary every time.
