Most of the customers you will get to deal with in business looks like difficult but as matter of fact they have not a single percent of interest neither in your business nor your products. Then why waste time on such customers and spend that valuable time to those prospective customers who might become your long-time customers in future.

I don't deal much with China, but all proposals I receive are perfect. Very good in details, accurate in numbers and so on. This is worth the wait, because it is customized for my company and my needs and usually contain everything detailed so no questions are left open and the deal can be closed.

My Personal Experience - not random:
I think this has also to do with the Chinese culture. Patience is an important value. I have been to China several times for Martial Arts Training and my instructors defined patience completly new for me (till that time I thought I WAS patient...). The more patient I was, the better my results (Sport and business)-

Replying to [Noorani International]: yes, and you will probably have a long correspondence with some nice guys who do not order anything, while you had discarded somebody for being "difficult" but wanted to give you a deal of many bucks? How you dare to afford being discriminative with your customers? You live on their money, do not forget it.

Dear [MikePTY-HK]:

Customers are seem difficult, because they ask many questions, and they want the answers. Some suppliers are staff with people without much technical knowledge about their own product, and that's what pisses them off.

If they are not interested, they would not have even care about communicating with you. There is a 20-80 rule to every business; this means 20% of the customers are giving 80% of the business and the 80% of the customers giving 20%.

Both of these customers are equally important for the business, because the 80% customers have short turnover time, and they are usually the CASH COWS.

Some people have certain likings for others, that's is PR Chemistry. Some people like to talk to a female voice over the phone, and this is more so for the male customers. Your company should have a team of Sales People with different body chemistry to deal with particular category of customer.

There is a proverb that goes like this:  "Some like it hot, some like it cold, and some like it in the pot seven days old."

Hi guays, based on my personal experience I can say that my best and oldest customers were difficult customers before. After dealing several times, and reaching many good agreemnts they became more nice.

The relation you build since the first moment gives them the final impresion, so that's why, even you get a very difficult person remember always to find a way to gain confidence. The rest will be good bussines.
