I have a question regarding the customs clearing process.

Recently I have purchase a few tiles containers FOB Foshan, I ordered the loading date on day X. So obviously loading port Foshan. But then I had to change port to Shenzhen, because Foshan is a mess to get a vessel, and I needed this for my Panama office.

So here comes the problem, I have talked to this girl from the Tiles Company, and she said customs clearance was done at Foshan. Ok, so I sent my people on day X for inspection, and to close the container with seal, as I allways do with my electronics, sundries and the other things. Everything was perfect, loading ok, but when going to close the container, the people said PUYAO (DONT), need to go to customs again. My people said, ok, since the port change. But, as I know, that must be done at Shenzhen; but my gusys told me they took the trailers to Foshan Customs for 2nd clearing/closing and then to Shenzhen.

So my question is, is this the regular process or this factory girl was fooling my people and me? I believe she never did the 1st custom clearance.

Hallo,
you write you have your own people there in Foshan !!!
Why you not ask them, to make this question at the customs ?
Do you think, that a custom officer from Foshan read the postings in Alibaba and will answer you ?

Hello! Mike.As I know,the company who has the export licence normally put on records in the local custom. When they export then apply to customs,the customs will make the export record for them.This is in order to stat. the export data for the exporter. In fact,the chain connection can be available when it occurs in different customs within China.Maybe someproblems between the Foshan and Shenzhen customs ,so they have to do like that.

Replying to [MikePTY-HK]:why not go by Huangpu, Guangzhou Port? we can handle it in Guangzhou and will do the trucking from Foshan. and just do the custom in Guangzhou is ok.
