Women in trading
Women play an increasingly important role in importing/exporting.Many of them they are syccessful traders.This is a belief in certain countries that a woman can secure more orders than a man can.Is a fact that the foreign Buyers/Sellers does not award an order on the basis of gender.Woman in trading must be careful when dealing with customers from other cultures.It is embarrassing in the Islamic and Japanese cultures for a woman to initiate a handshake to a man.A slight bow is preferred.In the hindu and Thai cultures,placing both palms together over the chest and bowing slightly is the norm.Some customers may not be confertable with a woman driving.
In business meetings and social gathering with the customers,it is important to dress conservatively and to avoid any flirtations movements lest the Client misinterprets the intention.
