Recently, our customer support team received a number of emails asking about the gray TradeManager logos found on search listings pages and throughout member mini websites. In response, this tutorial will explain the different events that can occur when you click on the Leave me a message link underneath a gray TradeManager logo.

If you are trying to contact a member who doesn't have TradeManager installed, a pop-up box will be displayed allowing you to either add and invite that member or send an inquiry/quotation.

Choosing Add and Invite will automatically generate and send an email inviting this particular member to install TradeManager so that you may begin sending messages to them. If you prefer, you can click on the button labeled Inquire Now to send an inquiry/quotation.

When the person that you wish to contact has TradeManager installed and you don't, clicking on the Leave me a message link will result in a dialog box asking you to install TradeManager.

If you do not wish to install TradeManager, you can send an inquiry/quotation by clicking on the Inquire Now button.

If neither you nor the person you are trying to contact has TradeManager installed, clicking the Leave me a message link below a gray TradeManager logo will open an inquiry page so that you can send an inquiry to the member you wish to contact.

Complete the inquiry form by filling in the fields and click on the button labeled Send at the bottom of the form to submit your information.

When the member that you wish to contact is not already in your contact list, clicking on the gray TradeManager logo will open TradeManager's Add to Contact List so that you may request permission to be added to that members contact list.

If you attempt to send a message to a contact that is already in your contact list and offline, you will be able to send them an offline message which they can read the next time that they sign in to TradeManager (see below).
